Role: Childcare and Grow Your Own Veggies Opportunity
Type: part-time, unpaid/exchange, plus mentorship, on-site accom.
Location: King City, near Richmond Hill/Vaughan, GTA, Ontario
Grow your own veggies on a beautiful rural property 15 minutes from the TTC.
We are a young family living on several acres of land in rural King. We are looking for an enthusiastic, responsible and nature loving individual or couple who would like to spend 2 days a week in the country helping us care for our 16 month old son in exchange for a stipend and access to land to grow all your own vegetables. Spend the night in your own room with private bathroom.
We are located ten minutes from the King Go Train station and 15 minutes from the Vaughan Metropolitan Subway Station, about a 40 minute drive from downtown Toronto.
We run a small homestead growing our own vegetables and producing maple syrup. We are looking for two half days of childcare and the half would be free to work your garden or any other project you want. We would provide any mentorship needed to grow your own vegetables.
If you are a parent, we are also open to working this as a childcare exchange. You watch our kid while we work and then we'll switch it up half way through the day while you work the garden. In addition to the garden, we have a large woodlot for children to explore. This is a wonderful opportunity for an urban family to discover growing food and nature.
We are looking for someone asap but of course this arrangement would not start full swing until the spring.
