Position:  Flower Farm Team Member
Type: age 30 & under / summer
Farm: Cloverhill Flowers
Location: Keswick, Georgina, Lake Simcoe, Ontario

Looking for some unique work experience? Consider applying for a field assistant role with us! You’ll get hands-on experience working on a sustainable flower and vegetable farm. Participate in the completion of daily tasks, such as planting, watering, weeding, harvesting, general property maintenance, post harvest preparations of flowers and learning floral design basics, workshops and social media. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join our team for the 2022 season.

This position is supported by the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy and funded through the generosity of the Canada Summer Jobs 2022 program.

Position: Flower Farm Team Member (Canada Summer Jobs Student)

Dates: 8 weeks, starting late June/early July

Location: Cloverhill Flowers, Georgina, Ontario

Number of Hours Week: 35 per week

Pay Rate: $16 per hour

To Be Eligible:

• Must be between 15-30 years of age
• Applicants do not have to be a student
• Have a valid SIN (Social Insurance Number)
• Be legally able to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations

Qualifications:

• The successful candidate will be energetic and motivated to learn new skills
• Have an interest in agriculture with some horticultural and gardening knowledge
• Enjoy working outdoors in different weather conditions and able to do physical labour
• Able to work independently and with a team
• Self motivated individual with a strong work ethic
