Job Title: Corporate Sales & Events Coordinator
Employer: Pinnacle Pursuits Inc.

Salary/Pay: TBD – based on skills and experience

Required Commitment: Now until Spring 2019 (6 months with possible opportunity to continue)

Employment Conditions: Contract position, 3-5 days/week (with further opportunities based on skills, experience, availability and work demand)

Location(s): Office in Vancouver; most events and outreach in Lower Mainland and Southern Vancouver Island

Reports to: Jonathan Willcocks, President

JOB PURPOSE:

This position will primarily involve sales, outreach, client engagement; and supporting / co-leading the facilitation of events. It includes includes taking a project from inquiry to proposal, to program conception and development all the way through to event delivery, maintaining a strong connection to both our program values and the clients needs along the way.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead or contribute to all phases of program development and event logistics – from creative design conception to program execution
  • Develop high quality proposals to acquire new clients
  • Connect regularly with clients and business partners in stewardship of joint objectives
  • Facilitate / Lead activity programs and / or workshops for clients
  • Ensure the smooth running of the corporate events division by tracking client relations & milestones
  • Maintain a social media presence for the company for the purposes of marketing and PR
  • Help create new and innovative team-building initiatives and games
  • Provide ongoing direction, training and support for core staff
  • Engage in proactive outreach, sales and marketing
  • Ensure the integrity and longevity of programs by continuously refining policies, tools and best practices.
  • Aim high in all aspects of work, striving for achievement, while having the support to fail, learn and grow
  • Support in other areas of the company as required, in the spirit of teamwork and collaboration

QUALIFICATIONS & KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • A background in and passion for a strong relationship sales approach and ongoing stewardship of clients
  • Experience planning events (logistical & creative scope), including working with partners and venues
  • Experience working with groups as a facilitator / educator (small groups to large events)
  • Previous experience leading and managing staff teams
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, wherein engaging others and building relationships is natural
  • High competency in both spoken and written English
  • Digital fluency, including experience with Microsoft and Google Suites software and tools
  • Able to both develop and complete tasks independently and embrace collaboration as a team member
  • Capable of remaining deliberative, calm, organized and attentive to detail while being positive and responsive under pressure
  • Adaptable to significant swings in workload, including pre-event pushes, peak program booking seasons (spring and early fall) and complementary quiet periods
  • Flexible to work some evenings, weekend and multi-day / overnight events
  • Safe and competent driver with a valid BC driver’s license
