We provide a wide variety of landscaping services, including gardening, planting, tree care, pruning, property maintenance, stone and wood hardscaping. We encourage our clients to plant native plants that will encourage wildlife and that do not need pesticides to thrive. We educate our clients so they use the right plant in the right location. We discourage the use of pesticides. In addition we only use organic alpha fertilizer for the lawns we fertilize. We encourage pine mulch which is a natural mulch that over time breaks down to feed the plants organically. It also reduces water consumption. At my home I have a living roof planted with sedums. I installed it approximately 12 years ago... never fertilize it and rarely water it. It is thriving. We separate and recycle all of our blue bin material and green waste. We return all of the planting pots to Sheridans for recycling.

Landscape Technician, full-time

Primary Responsibilities:

• Receiving, understanding, and executing instructions
• Adherence to all safety requirements
• Proper dress (Wildrose Gardening uniform at all times)
• Professional attitude at all times
• Typical Tasks, Duties & Knowledge
• Typically, you will be picked up and dropped off centrally, usually a Subway station
• You perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, and anything else within reason that is expected to get the job done
• You’re expected to have knowledge of standard landscaping tools, but we will train where required

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 /hour

Experience: Landscaping: 1 year (Preferred)

Education: Secondary School (Preferred)

Location: Toronto, ON (Required)

Licence: G Class Driver's Licence (Preferred)

Language: English (Preferred)
