HORTICULTURE INSTRUCTORS – Competition Number 18-92

Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s (KPU) Faculty of Science and Horticulture is currently seeking Non-Regular Type 1 (Contract) Instructors to be added to the Horticulture qualified faculty list.

Qualified instructors are needed to teach Horticulture Diploma and Bachelor of Horticulture Science degree program courses in the following specializations: Horticulture Diploma, Plant Health degree, and Urban Ecosystems degree.

The Faculty of Science and Horticulture are seeking instructors who have the expertise to teach one or a combination of the following courses:

  • Foundations of Plant Health
  • Arboriculture I
  • Arboriculture II
  • Production Pest Management
  • Entomology
  • Plant Pathology
  • Biological Control
  • Scouting, Monitoring
  • National and Global Regulatory Issues
  • Pest Management

The program curriculum and success of KPU’s graduates have established the Bachelor of Horticulture Science degree as a highly valued credential in the workplace. The degree program uniquely combines theoretical and technical sciences with the practice of horticulture. For more information about the programs, go to .

Preference will be given to individuals with a post graduate degree and experience teaching in a post-secondary horticulture or agriculture program. It is understood that instructors have specializations and that not all instructors will be qualified to teach all courses listed above.
