Why not build yourself a better future by jump-starting the New Year pursuing a career in carpentry?

Starting February 2018, The Career Foundation, in partnership with Mohawk College, is offering an exciting opportunity for youth between the ages of 18 and 29 to complete Level 1 Apprenticeship Training and gain paid work experience in the General Carpenter trade. The program also includes pre-employment training, safety equipment and tools, and exposure to Drywall, Acoustic and Lathing Applicator as a secondary trade at Local 18 Carpenters Union.

Eligibility

  • 18 to 29 years old
  • Unemployed or underemployed
  • Grade 10 or equivalent
  • Full-time commitment to the program

Note: G license or a commitment to obtaining it as soon as possible is an asset
