Position: Journeyman Carpenter/ Site Supervisor

Want to join us? We are seeking a Journeyman Carpenter and Site Supervisor.

This position requires a person who is:

  • deeply interested in energy efficiency and construction of high-performance buildings
  • equally willing and able to work as part of a team and independently
  • willing to learn new skills on the job and through formal training
  • able to work a fast paced, dynamic work environment
  • able to communicate effectively, efficiently, and respectfully with trades, clients, and co-workers

This position will involve carpentry and project coordination and management. While you won’t spend time at a desk, you need to be as effective with paperwork and organization as you are with a hammer.

This position requires, at minimum, 5 years residential construction work experience as a carpenter, and a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or site management context.

Minimum basics:

  • Journeyman carpenter with Red Seal certification
  • must speak, read, and write fluently in English
  • must have basic computer literacy
  • a valid drivers’ license and reliable vehicle;
  • able to communicate via email and/or text during regular working hours;
  • own a complete carpenter’s tool belt;
  • physically capable of regular construction duties such as:
  • ...working on elevated structures
  • ...lifting and carrying 50+ pounds

Wages commensurate with experience, and will be a living wage for the region. We offer an excellent health and benefits package.
