TRACKS is a growing initiative developed in partnership with the Indigenous Environmental Studies and Sciences (IESS) Program at Trent University and the Kawartha World Issues Centre. We take an Indigenous-and-Environmental approach to science education, delivering both free programming with First Nations and urban Indigenous community partners as well as a series of fee-for-service camps and workshops for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth.
TRACKS Outreach and Education instructors should have a strong background/interest in STEM subjects and Indigenous traditional ecological knowledge. These Instructors will deliver classroom workshops in schools in May and early June, and facilitate week-long day camps in July and August. All TRACKS programming takes place within a 100km radius of Peterborough, or at Trent University.
We are seeking 4 full-time staff members to support TRACKS Outreach and Education throughout the Summer.
