Position: Operations Assistant

Position Description:

We are looking for someone to help us with various operations tasks necessary to pursuing our plastic-free mission. The position entails data entry for accounting and general bookkeeping, it also includes helping with our website content and design, helping with operations and inventory-related tasks, as well as assisting with marketing and general administrative tasks.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about the environment and determined to have a positive impact

  • Creative, a multi-tasker, detail-oriented, and organized

  • A team player who can also work autonomously and be proactive (a self-starter)

  • Comfortable with computers and is resourceful (ready to Google solutions)

  • Proficient in a range of communications and social media platforms

  • Sees this opportunity as not just a job, but part of her or his calling

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Familiar with data entry and is comfortable using excel

  • Experience with Quickbooks online (or other accounting softwares) is a plus

  • A quick-learner

  • Experience in customer service is an asset

  • Excellent communication and written skills in English and French is nice to have


  • Between 18 and 30 years of age as of May 1, 2018

  • Registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year

  • Intends to return to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year

  • Student in a post-secondary, CEGEP, vocational or technical program

  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act

  • Legally entitled to work according to Quebec legislation and regulations

Start Date: June 11 2018

Duration: Full time for 11 weeks

Salary: $14 / hour
