The purpose of Sustainable Cobourg is to support and engage in activities that maintain and enhance the environmental, physical, economic, and social health of Cobourg residents by promoting sustainability within the Town of Cobourg and its immediate environs.
Summer student job:
An 8 week assignment at $14.00/hr for a summer student under the Canada Summer Jobs program. Preference will be given to indigineous, disabled and female applicants under the terms of the program but anyone can apply. Work will start as soon as the position is filled.
Update the SustainableCobourg.ca website and Facebook site regularly. Develop a Members' Guidebook and the format for a monthly newsletter. Prepare two newsletters for the months of June and July. Research and implement an online membership payment process that sends information to both the Membership coordinator and the Treasurer. Assist the Education Intern with the communications strategy for the waste reduction classroom competition and the Climate Change Intern with community outreach through interviews and articles in the local media and on social media. Advertise other upcoming events and speakers through different media outlets.
