EcoSpark Backgrounder: EcoSpark is an environmental charity that empowers people to take an active role in protecting and sustaining nature. Position Description: We are looking for a dynamic, friendly, outgoing, and well-organized individual to join EcoSpark this summer! The successful candidate will work the EcoSpark team to assist in citizen science programming that empowers people to be environmental champions in their community. The assistant will provide facilitation and field support for our award-winning water quality monitoring program with youth and adults. The assistant will also provide field support for our citizen science project to control invasive species (e.g. phragmities) and to promote native biodiversity in public greenspaces. In addition, there will be opportunities to help develop resources to further engage youth and adults in the monitoring of urban stream health and in the protection of native biodiversity in public greenspaces.
This is a full-time seasonal 8-week contract from July 9 to August 31 2018.
This internship is funded through Canada Summer Jobs. To quality, the successful student must meet the following requirements:

Employment Type: Full Time (8 weeks from July 9 to August 31, 2018). Weekend and evening work will be required from time-to-time.
Salary: $15/hr for 8 weeks
Start Date: July 9, 2018
Location: Toronto, ON with travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area
