About the Organization:
Established in 2009, The Roberta Bondar Foundation (RBF) fuses environmental science and visual art through photography of the natural world to generate engagement, stimulate creativity and promote ethical responsibility for the natural environment. Our work is based on four program pillars: i) the Bondar Challenge, ii) Traveling Exhibitions and Learning Experiences, iii) Speaker Series, Workshops and Seminars, and iv) Research and Publications.
Reporting to the Program Coordinator, with guidance from the Chair of the Board and President as needed, the Program Assistant will support the creation of new educational programs for youth delivered in an urban, summer day camp setting. A large part of the role will also involve supporting existing program operations. This includes working on social media, program logistics, as well as administrative and organizational needs as required. The employee may also travel from time to time with the Program Coordinator to make site visits to summer camp locations where the current Bondar Challenge is being delivered.
