PURPOSE AND GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Conservation Engagement Intern will work closely with NCC Ontario’s Conservation Coordinator to support programs that connect Canadians with nature, including the Conservation Volunteers (CV) and Nature Destinations programs. The Conservation Engagement Intern will assist with the coordination of volunteer-driven stewardship projects on NCC conservation lands and support program delivery on the ground. These volunteer events are designed to engage individuals of all ages in priority conservation work, such as habitat restoration, biological inventories and infrastructure improvement, while providing a fun and educational experience for participants. The Conservation Engagement Intern will also assist with the implementation of the stewardship program for significant natural lands protected by NCC across Ontario under the supervision of NCC’s local Coordinators, Conservation Biology. The position offers a dynamic mix of hands-on restoration work, environmental communications and public engagement.
