Camp Kodiak is a residential summer camp located in Parry Sound, Ontario (about 3 hours north of Toronto). We serve kids and teens with and without Learning Disabilities, ADHD and high-functioning ASD. We are currently hiring for our 2019 season!

We are seeking professional, enthusiastic and fun individuals to join our 2019 staff team. We are currently looking to fill many positions including; Head Counsellor, Counsellor, Lifeguard, Waterski instructor, Horseback Riding Instructor, Certified Teachers, High Ropes Facilitator and more!

Responsibilities and Duties

Our staff are there to help our campers in their day to day routines and help teach some of our 50+ exciting activities. Living in the cabins with our campers as a staff member you are expected to help out in the general well-being and day to day care of our campers.


Camp Kodiak offers a wide range of benefits while working through the summer. We offer 10 days of intensive training to help set you up for success working with our campers, have industry professionals teach you the tips and tricks about working within our population. Gain valuable insight to the difficulties our campers experience on a regular basis and how to help them over come many of the common issues you will see on a day to day basis. All of our training and experience is directly transferable to future careers in teaching, social work, educational support, early childhood education, childhood development and many more! Gain experience by working with professionals in many of these industries, hands-on experience that will be applicable to any future career. Our mature staff work with each other to problem solve creative solutions to the on-going challenges our camper face.

Over a summer at Camp Kodiak our staff live and work with our campers on social skills and personal life skills. Our staff have a lot of fun, gain valuable experience working with children, and make a huge difference in the lives of our campers. The staff contract includes all accommodations, meals and a salary for the summer, which runs from June 21st through August 19th.
