Position: Solar Sales Consultant

Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba

Reporting to the Vice President, Solar Sales & Business Development, the Sales Consultant is responsible for generating leads and selling solar energy systems. This position will support MiEnergy’s Vision, Mission and Core Values at all times.

Priorities:

  • Work as part of a team to increase income and revenue by managing and negotiating with customers, generating leads and qualifying prospects
  • Meet personal and team sales targets
  • Ensure customers service expectations are exceeded
  • Ensure World-class craftsmanship and professionalism at all times
  • Maximise company value through continual improvement

Responsibilities:

Sales:

  • Lead generation
    • Develop “out of the box” sales strategies and evaluate effectiveness
    • Generate new leads with multiple sales techniques
  • Qualifying
    • Respond within the given timeframe to incoming leads
    • Work to understand customer’s situation to determine appropriate solution
    • Evaluate customers needs and offer relevant products and services
  • Pricing
    • Generate project proposals and quotes for customers
  • Closing
    • Provide site visits which includes moderate travel
    • Close the sale using multiple sales techniques

Education & Marketing:

  • Attend meetings, sales events and training to keep abreast of the latest developments
  • Provide presentations when necessary to educate
  • Participate in marketing efforts to educate and generate new leads

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven sales experience
  • Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management
  • Self motivated and driven
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

Other:

  • Class 5 driver’s licences required
  • Willing to travel with own vehicle and work remotely at times from home
  • Manitoba territory
  • Commission based compensation will allow for great compensation
