Position Location: Cornwall, Ontario
Position Purpose:
The successful applicant will contribute to the stewardship and outreach work at Watersheds Canada by working to raise landowner awareness of water stewardship principles and environmental impacts on the lakes within the area on Akwesasne land. Working with the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne, local partners and volunteers, the Environmental Technician Student is responsible with assisting in the delivery of our Natural Edge Program. This will include field work focusing on carrying out shoreline naturalizations and restoration using native plants species. The students will assist in naturalizing shorelines by planting native trees and shrubs, conduct site visits at shoreline properties, and deliver online workshops and presentations and outreach materials.

Education:
Some College or University, with preference given to those with a specialization in Natural Resources Management, Environmental Studies/Science or Biology.
Experience:
None required, however preference will be given to those with some experience in the conservation and/or non-profit sector(s).
