Position: Senior Manager, Corporate Services

Conservation Halton was established more than 60 years ago to protect our communities from flooding and erosion and manage and restore natural resources of the watershed. Your Opportunity

Reporting to Chief Operating Officer, the Senior Manager, Corporate Services will be a visionary leader with demonstrated experience in both strategy development and execution. This role will provide leadership and direction to the Project Management Office, IT and GIS teams and will also:

  • Take the lead with developing and outlining corporate and project plans to support the implementation of the organization’s strategic plan
  • Provide leadership related to business planning, insights, analysis and identifying trends and indicators to inform future decisions related to strategic priorities
  • Invest in developing their teams skills and capabilities based on individual journeys within both the technical and creative landscape
  • Champion and encourage teams to take a continuous and quality improvement approach to their work, seeking opportunities to enhance the efficiency and quality of corporate services.
  • Provide a matrix team approach to delivering on results and holding respective teams accountable on key strategic initiatives critical to the success of Conservation Halton while modelling our core values at every step
  • Maintain an enterprise-wide strategic thinking outlook removing barriers for their respective teams through coaching and mentoring with a focus on finding solutions.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Administration/Business/Commerce/Accounting or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role overseeing a multi-disciplinary matrix team
  • Strong understanding of project management and change management principles
  • Ability to translate strategy into action plans and results
  • Create and drive a culture of a results oriented, performance culture
  • Experience with strategic planning and driving towards strategic outcomes and targets
  • Proven success in process improvement and the ability to identify efficient operational opportunities and strategies
  • Process Improvement principles and practices, e.g. Lean Six Sigma, PDCA, an asset
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong financial and business acumen experience
  • Excellent judgement and decision-making
  • Works well under rapidly changing, constant, tight, and often conflicting deadlines.
  • Experience developing KPI’s and dashboards to monitor, measure and assess the effectiveness of programs, initiatives and makes recommendations to amend programs, as appropriate.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
