Position: Sales Account Representative (Sustainability Focused)

$50,000 - $80,000+ OTE
Base of $50,000 (depending on experience) with uncapped commission structure

We’re a fast-growing recycling company based in Vancouver, BC looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and unstoppable sales person to bring our suite of award-winning recycling and waste reduction services to clients across the Lower Mainland.

Location details: Vancouver (South Marine Drive & Main St, very close to sky train and major bus routes) You will be based in our office, and conduct client site visits (as recommendations allow).

Hours: Full time
Salary: $50,000 base (dependent on experience) plus uncapped commission structure. OTE $75,000+

Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Being tenacious. Conduct follow-up calls and emails until meetings and targets are set.
  • Identify and develop an in-depth understanding of each lead generation process, supporting marketing activities, prospect touch-points and the handoff to Customer Service.
  • Track activity and update account/contact information.
  • You will be responsible for managing end-to-end sales responsibilities-including prospecting, building proposals, drafting contracts, developing relationships with customers, tracking pipeline and closing sales.
  • Visit customers to understand sales needs, promote practical solutions and deliver an exceptional support experience.
  • Maintain an active lead list and ensure continuous follow up with decision makers to build excellent relationships and generate new business.
  • Attend training and associated workshops to increase product knowledge and to stay abreast of company products, services, and pricing as well as familiarity with competitor products and pricing.
  • Use your outside sales experience to prospect and develop new, exciting business relationships.

  • Extremely detail oriented.
  • Post secondary education in Business, or related subject.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and a clear driver’s abstract.
  • 1-3 years in a similar capacity role related to sales, preferably outside sales.
  • Related Industry or trades experience is considered an asset.
  • A high level of alignment with the company’s Corporate Values.
  • A strong intrapreneurial mindset; a passion that is led through customer centricity, continuous learning, and curiousity.
  • Professional with strong business acumen; exceptional communication skills, active listening and presentation skills.
  • Have a passion for the environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, in addition to experience using CRM systems and cloud based software.
