Windfall Centre is growing! Do you want to be part of an innovative and enthusiastic team? We are looking for skilled and passionate Registered Energy Advisors to help us take energy efficiency and conservation to the next level in Ontario.

Windfall Ecology Centre is a leader in the development of Energy Conservation Solutions for home and business. We deliver services to communities within Ontario that focus on assisting others to become active in the reduction of greenhouse gas production. We do this through the advocacy of home and business energy conservation initiatives, including energy audits, low-income retrofit programs, water conservation technologies and incentive programs.

We are looking for part-time and full-time Registered Energy Advisors to add to our team. If you are a current Registered Energy Advisor, a building science pro and are confident working with a wide diversity of clients, then we are looking for you!


As a subcontractor, Registered Energy Advisors can request part-time or full-time hours, with a flexible schedule. Wages vary depending on the project.


  • Conduct residential audits using the EnerGuide Rating System (ERS 15)
  • Prepare, present, and explain custom home energy ratings and renovation upgrade recommendations to residential customers
  • Prepare and deliver EnerGuide rating labels to residential customers
  • Promote and conduct follow-up audits with residential customers
  • Complete and submit, on a timely basis, all required reports and electronic files
  • Complete and submit required paperwork for the government and utility incentive programs
  • Respond promptly to all issues and inquiries
  • Install (if required) energy and water conservation devices in residences
  • Promote related environmental education services and programs
  • Conduct follow up phone calls with customers as required


  • Demonstrated knowledge of residential building science
  • Good computer skills and familiarity with internet information exchange
  • Good communication (oral, written and telephone) skills
  • Excellent interpersonal (social marketing) skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to environmental goals
  • Working knowledge of NRCan’s EnerGuide for Houses rating and evaluation system
  • Possession of a valid Ontario driver’s license
  • Access to a reliable vehicle with liability insurance of not less than $1,000,000
  • Access to Blower Door Equipment is an asset

Onboarding and training conducted through Green Communities Canada will be required for qualified candidates.

Financial assistance may be provided to subsidize the training costs.
