Position: Outside Sales Representative

Who we are: Recycling alternative is a recycling focused, locally owned company that has been working out of the False Creek Flats area of Vancouver for 30 years. Working with a range of partners and equipment, we strive to help our customers find the best way to manage their waste and recycling. We are a small team providing a friendly work environment and a competitive compensation package.

Who you are: You are a self starter sales representative who is goal driven. You have experience selling service agreements services, and are motivated to work with a company driven by making positive change in our community. You are as comfortable talking to the Director of Operations at a National Property Management company as you are you with a Start-Up Restaurateur. You are interested in finding creative, sustainable, and innovative solutions for the customer, and want to work in an environment where that is supported. You are also familiar with different sustainability certifications, reporting, and overall environmental trends.

About this position

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for lead generation and follow up, creating and implementing sales plans, tracking and reporting progress through an established sales process, and providing feedback and planning support to achieve company goals.

As a company committed to the Triple Bottom Line, we are looking for an Outside Sales Representative who is driven by a passion to create value from waste material and help clients of all sizes set up effective waste and recycling programs. The ideal candidate takes initiative, has great communication skills, and is able to be a strong ambassador for Recycling Alternative. We have a small but growing sales department looking for a positive addition to expand the sales culture. This position is responsible for taking a client from lead to contract signing, and ensuring they have an effective

The Details: This is a full time position, with standard office hours, however there will be some networking events after these hours, and limited overnight trips.

The compensation is a base salary plus commision structure. There is a car and phone allowance, as well as benefits available after 6 months.
