Reporting to the Beekeeping Resources Manager, the Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for gathering objective data pertaining to each Alvéole city’s employee safety, compliance, client experience, and beekeeping practices by developing metrics, generating reports, and performing virtual and occasional on-site inspections. The Quality Assurance Coordinator is also responsible for highlighting innovation and best practices, and ensuring all Alvéole honey is produced following strict adherence to food safety guidelines.

This is a full-time, permanent position in accordance with Alvéole’s current policies. 

Role and responsibilities

• Develops, implements, maintains and updates Quality Assurance checklists, processes, and procedures
• Performs inspections of all sites related to a city’s beekeeping operation, including warehouses, bee yards, vehicles, and extraction facilities
• Generates, analyzes, and presents reports summarizing QA information, trends and issues
• Identifies non-compliance and operational issues to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
• Ensures all Alvéole honey is produced following strict adherence to food safety guidelines
• Visits all cities in Alvéole’s portfolio over a 4-5 week cycle (virtually or in person depending on needs, priorities and travel regulations)
• Works with the Beekeeping Resources Manager to analyze data, troubleshoot and propose recommendations based on information gathered
• Plans and coordinates QA visits with Beekeeping Team Managers and Beekeepers
• Gathers employee feedback from Beekeeping Team Managers and Beekeepers to help the Beekeeping Support Team stay connected to employee realities and implement solutions quickly
• Improves quality control procedures and helps align practices company wide
• Highlights innovation and best practices to bring the most constructive ideas forward

Required skills

• 2-5 years of Quality Assurance experience
• Extremely thorough, detail-oriented, and enjoys following a workflow process
• Strong interpersonal & collaborative skills but works very well autonomously
• Creative problem-solving skills are a must
• Knowledge of Mac (Apple) systems and Google tools
• Comfortable working at heights
• Willing to travel 2-3 times annually to all implicated cities
• Comfortable working virtually most of the year
• Valid driver’s license and a good driver’s record
• Beekeeping knowledge is an asset
• Food safety regulations knowledge is an asset
• French fluency is an asset
