Pollinator Partnership Canada is hiring two summer positions to support our national conservation efforts.

Summer jobs: Conservation and Outreach Content Creator
Type: summer job / age 30 & under
Organization: Pollinator Partnership Canada
Location: remote. Ideally candidates will live in/near the GTA and Halifax, activities are both regional and national

Do you get excited about bees and plants? Do you love living local and making your community greener? Did you always have the nicest looking presentation in class or an enviable IG account? Do you have a knack for design, and a great way to tell your friends and family how important taking care of the planet is? We'd love to have you on our team this summer.

The candidates will work to support our pollinator conservation programs throughout Canada with a focus on the GTA and Ontario/Atlantic Canada and Halifax. The overall goal is to increase local environmental knowledge and literacy by connecting with the community, telling them how important pollinators are, and giving them to tools to take action.

Using resources developed by Pollinator Partnership Canada for Ontario/Nova Scotia, the candidate will encourage participation in nature-based solutions that buffer climate change and engage the community in action for pollinators. We have a lot of great resources, but we always need more, and we need to get the word out to everyone that they can be a force in helping pollinators. Our Conservation and Outreach Content Creators will work with existing content, develop new content, and conduct outreach to impact change. Our programs, including, Pollinator Stewardship Certification, Bee Friendly Farming, and Bee City Canada all give people the tools to make change for pollinators - help us promote them and be part of the difference. Right now our world is virtual - it’s a great way to reach people, and we need more content to keep them all active and engaged.

Depending on local health restrictions, public outreach events may be included.

These positions are funded in part by Canada Summer Jobs, and are available for 35 hrs/week for 10 weeks, or a total of 350 hours each. The start date is as soon as possible. Candidates can choose to work more weekly hours if a shorter internship is preferred.
