How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team:
Tommy Thompson Park (TTP) is a unique urban wilderness on the central Toronto waterfront, that provides essential habitat for wildlife and recreational opportunities to the public. The Coordinator, Tommy Thompson Park is a key member of the TTP management team that works collaboratively to maintain and promote the ecological integrity of the site and positive visitor experiences. Under the supervision of the Project Manager, TTP, the Coordinator, TTP is responsible for coordinating daily park operations, weekend and volunteer programs, special events, and natural area management and habitat restoration at Tommy Thompson Park. This position has a particular focus on customer service, communications and partnerships with the City of Toronto and external organizations. The Coordinator, TTP also responds to general and technical inquires, leads interpretive park tours of a general and technical nature, provides guidance and direction to external events, and promotes TTP on social media and newletter campaigns. The Coordinator, TTP will work with the TTP Management Team to provide remote (text/phone) supervison and support to staff and volunteers working evenings and weekends throughout the year.
