Position: Pond Construction
Organization: Jackson Pond
Location: Burlington, GTA, Ontario

Close your eyes and imagine your ideal vacation spot. Is it on the water? Why? Our bodies are comprised mainly of water, so we are naturally drawn to it. It's this connection that Jackson Pond understands and this relationship that guides us to construct breathtaking water features.

Jackson Pond is one of North America’s premiere Water Feature design, build and maintain companies. At Jackson Pond we understand that a large part of one’s life is spent at work. While we do work hard, we make sure that this time is enjoyable and fun. We enjoy the benefits of an established business including direct deposit payroll every two weeks, company BBQs, and team building events, all in a family like atmosphere.

Our Culture is our people, and they drive our success. We are a workplace of talented individuals learning and working together sharing in the rewards of our accomplishments.

Ecosystem focus:

We create ponds that reflect what Mother Nature does naturally by crafting ecosystems that are naturally balanced by utilizing biological filtration. The biofalls and full rock coverage provides surface area for the beneficial bacteria to colonize and remove excess nutrients from the water. We understand that fish and plants are also integral parts of the ecosystem.

While fish are great pets they more importantly absorb excess plants and debris. Plants are Mother Natures’ filters and help balance the entire ecosystem. We utilize native aquatic plants in all of our builds especially larger builds where filtration is completed by recreating wetlands found in nature. Furthermore, treatments used within our ponds are all safe for the environment, plants and animals.

As part of our construction team, you will help build water features from the bottom up including digging, laying liner and moving rocks. Most importantly, you will feel the rewards of building a project from start to finish and see the expression on the client’s faces when they see your work for the first time. Workers will require transportation to our office in Burlington, Ontario but from there will leave with the crew in a company vehicle. As you acquire new skills and experiences, your ability and opportunity to lead others will increase.
