JOB POSTING

Position: Frontline Campaigners
Organization: Toronto Environmental Alliance
Location: Toronto, Ontario

The Toronto Environmental Alliance (TEA) has exciting opportunities for environmentally-minded, well-spoken and passionate individuals to join our front-line engagement team.

For almost 30 years, TEA has been Toronto’s environmental watch dog at city hall. TEA campaigns locally to create equitably green solutions for Toronto’s unique urban environmental problems. We proudly work alongside and for the eclectic and vibrant community that is our city.

FUN FACT: We led the campaign that got the first city-wide green bin program in North America! (We think that's pretty cool.)

Face-to-face conversations are the cornerstone of effective community organizing and engagement. Our door-to-door canvass campaigners work hard to communicate TEA’s work and raise crucial funds for our organization. Monthly and one-time individual donations are the lifeblood of the nonprofit sector. Without it, we cannot speak openly, freely and passionately at City Hall for our community.

Don’t be fooled: this is not a sales job, nor is it your average fundraising job. The position is unique in that it entails not only raising critical funds, but galvanizing action from members to pressure City Councillors, affect policy change at City Hall, and educate the public. Do you really care about social and environmental organizations and want to work directly for one? This is the place!

Position Details

  • Speak in an engaging and informational way about our work

  • Speak to potential donors and supporters outdoors and on your feet

  • Liaise with our campaigns team for up-to-the minute updates on our work
