Daily team responsibilities include cleaning the main lodge and outdoor wash-station, copious amounts of laundry, negotiating compost access with the racoons, turning over bunkhouses and cabins between guests, helping out in our gardens, setting a welcoming atmosphere, keeping an eye on the campfire at night, chatting with guests about their adventures in the park, offering trail and canoe route tips, and answering questions about park ecology and history.

Requirements and Attributes:

  • Friendly, outgoing and able to multi-task and work hard
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with little supervision
  • Additional languages are a big-time asset
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a sometimes fast-paced environment, and to maintain motivation in slower-paced times
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Most importantly, love of our natural world!

Work Term:

Paid staff:  1 to 2 months May/June, five days per week, seven hours per day.

Work-for-stay:  For periods of 1 to 3 weeks any time during the months of May, June, July, August, September and October.  Longer terms might be considered if you're interested.

Sound Wonderful??
