ORGANIC FARMING

Position: Organic Vegetable Grower/Packer
Organization: Wild Flight Farm
Location: Mara, BC
Housing: on-farm accommodation is not available, however assistance in finding housing can be provided.

Are you looking for meaningful work? Are you passionate about food, organic agriculture and environmental sustainability? Do you love getting your hands dirty and working outdoors? Wild Flight Farm has a job for you! We are currently seeking enthusiastic candidates to join our team for the 2020 growing season.

About us:

Just over twenty-five years ago, Hermann and Louise started Wild Flight Farm with a vision to produce high quality organic vegetables, care for the land, and provide fulfilling and economically sustainable work for themselves and their employees. They have seen that vision come to fruition and have been teaching a new generation to learn from their success and build on it. Work at Wild Flight is a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of a large, certified organic, mixed-vegetable operation from well-established farmers.

Located in beautiful Mara B.C. in the North Okanagan, the 24-acre farm is nestled along the Shuswap River. The name reflects the many species of migrating and resident birds that are part of the natural environment around the farm. Here a dedicated team grows over 50 varieties of organic vegetables. The farm serves communities from Revelstoke to Kelowna through popular year-round farmers’ markets and wholesale deliveries. There is generally a crew of 12 full-time employees through the growing season (May-October) and 3 to 4 full-time employees to carry the farm through the winter market season.

If this sounds like the place for you, read below to see our available positions.
