The Organic Value Chains Coordinator will help OCO and the public to develop an understanding of the unique production methods within different value chains by conducting research, aggregating data, surveying organic members, reviewing the scientific literature and creating content to translate their findings. The intern will identify specific knowledge gaps and liaise with the Organic Science Cluster to shape potential value chain specific research projects (e.g. building fertility in an organic greenhouse). The Organic Value Chains Coordinator will be responsible for building relationships with agricultural commodity groups that represent these value chains to improve relationships and share resources.
