This is a part-time paid position, best suited to someone interested in small-scale vegetable growing.
Tiny Farm is a two-acre market garden located just outside of Peterborough. We grow by organic standards: no synthetic fertilizer, no pesticides. Most of the work is done by hand, with light equipment including a compact tractor. There is also a year-round production greenhouse, used at the end of the summer, unheated, to grow greens for harvest through the winter.
You should be prepared to work outdoors, in varying weather. The work is energetic but not grueling, and the daily tasks continually vary. The schedule is flexible. The work is fun!
