ORGANIC INTERNSHIP

Position: Organic Farm Intern (Fall 2017)
Type: f/t internship with room and board, plus weekly stipend
Organization: Grassroot Organics
Location: Woodville, Kawartha Lakes (near Cannington and Lindsay), Ontario

Looking for someone keen to learn the ins and outs of an organic market gardening operation. We manage a 10 acre garden, although half of that is in cover crop/rotation. We grow a wide assortment of seasonal vegetables. We also have hobby-scale poultry ... heritage breed chickens, turkey, quail. We sell the majority of our goods in Toronto at farmers' markets and fine dining restaurants. We also belong to the Kawartha CRAFT network, so there will be opportunities to meet other organic farmers and interns in the Kawartha area.

Room & board provided, plus weekly stipend. We eat like kings (that's part of the experience afterall!). We've never had an intern leave unhappy - can provide references if need be.

Position available until mid-to-late November.
