Glorious Organics started operating in the 1980’s as a mixed salad and garnish company and was one of the first farms in BC to become certified organic. Glorious Organics is located in Aldergrove, BC, and the land we farm is leased from Fraser Common Farm Co-op, a housing co-operative also located on the property. In total, there is about 20 acres made up of farm land, wild areas and housing space. In 2006 Glorious Organics became a workers co-operative and grows a very diverse mix of vegetables, salads, herbs, fruits and garnishes on ~6 acres of the land. We sell our products to many restaurants in Vancouver, farmers markets and an 80 person CSA box program. We are a low impact, high-labour farm using the power of people more than machinery. We have a tractor and various implements, but we more often than not use manual labor. We have a handful of farmers that live on farm year-round, but also many people (including families and seniors) who are members of the housing co-op that do not work for Glorious Organics. Our farm is very dedicated to high quality organic food, while always considering environmental sustainability and its impacts on the future of farming.
We’re a certified organic farm with certification through BCARA. Our mission is to grow the highest quality organic food, while taking care of the land and ecosystems around us. We are honoured to be able to live, grow and work on the unceded traditional and ancestral lands of the Kwantlen First Nation.

While it would be great to have those that have some farming experience it is not necessary to apply for this job. We are looking for those that are able to perform physically demanding work including lifting, weeding, digging, repetitive movement and crouching/kneeling. Farmers must be able to work in all sorts of weather, and enjoy being outside in rain, sun and cold. Applicants must be able to work as a team and communicate cooperatively and respectfully. Applicants will also perform various tasks on your own after proper training. Our goal is to have a crew of employees that are hard working, ready to learn, and have a passion for growing organic food and environmental sustainability.
Some of the many tasks we will perform on a regular basis:
We are currently in search of 2 full time employees. One to start May 1st till October 31st. And one position to start June 1st till end of October. We work Tuesday to Saturday having Sundays and Monday’s off. We will usually work 40 hr work weeks with the possibility of 45-50 hrs during peak season (July and August).
We offer minimum wage at $14.75 an hr plus 4% vacation pay and we have a paid lunch break. We currently have all farm rental spaces filled and therefore we are looking for this position to be filled by off-farm workers.
