Meadow Sweet Farm is a four season farm specializing in babyleaf salad blends, heirloom vegetables, HOPS, bees and mixed livestock. We are certified organic and constantly trying to better our growing processes. We have a number of greenhouses that allow us to extend our farming season and run our fields on a crop rotation.
We are looking for a FARM/FIELD MANAGER to primarily oversee our salad production. The role will include farm planning, production records, overseeing field activity, crop succession, helping to manage staff, all stages of salad production -planting, watering, processing. We are looking for someone who is hard working, motivated, works well with others and has had experience working at a farm or in greenhouses. Creativity is a bonus!
Daily jobs vary throughout the season and we work longer hours during peak growing seasons.
We currently supply retailers and restaurants with our products, as well as operate a farm stand and have a presence at farmers markets.
The position starts March 2017 and be full time for the upcoming season.
Accomodation is available in our Intern house or one of our cabins. Salary is negotiable depending on experience and room & board.
