Position: Northeastern Ontario Program Coordinator
Organization: Ecologos Environmental Organization
Location: North Bay and Nipissing District, Ontario

General Job Description

Ecologos Environmental Organization (EEO) is a registered environmental charity working to increase awareness and action for the protection of water. Its signature program is the highly acclaimed Water Docs Film Festival in Toronto each year.

You are a dynamic animator and organizer who will market and provide logistical support for EEO programs in Northeastern Ontario including Water Docs Where-You-Live offering film events in towns and neighbourhoods, Water Docs @ School Action Projects for grade 7 and 8 classes, and The Water Journey. For information about these programs, see You will also play the key role in organizing and securing volunteer and funding support for a brand new program called Youth Leadership & Young Artists. This program is being piloted in Northeastern Ontario in 2019.


  • You are a self-motivated, on-the-ground go-getter requiring minimum supervision and with great attitude and interpersonal skills.
  • You have experience developing community projects including organizing and coordinating volunteers and fundraising.
  • You have experience and ability mobilizing involvement through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Constant Contact.
  • You have fine written, oral and presentation skills.
  • You have fundraising and grant writing experience.

Job Duration:

October 2018 through September 2019.

Half time position.

Salary $25,000 to $30,000 negotiable re: part time position
