In May 2019, TerraCycle launched its newest initiative, Loop, a global circular shopping system that enables brands, retailers and consumers to transition from single-use disposable materials to reusable, durable packaging, washed by Loop and refilled by the brands. Loop has engaged many of the world's largest consumer product companies (including P&G, Nestlé, Unilever, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, and Mond?lez) and many of the world’s largest retailers in this platform. Loop is currently available in the mid-Atlantic and Northeastern U.S and Paris and Lille France, with plans to expand into several new markets including Canada, Japan, the UK and Germany in 2020.

Job Overview –

We are looking for an outgoing, highly organized, reliable, agile, team-focused Senior Account Manager with +5 years’ work experience in CPG to lead the launch of Loop in Canada.

The position will require strong project management, communication, and organizational skills, along with an understanding of retail environment and supply chain as well as of innovation and packaging development process in CPG companies. Responsibilities will include both client relations (CPG brand partners as well as Retailers) as well as general project management, and the successful applicant will be trained and highly successful in both capacities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about sustainability, evolution of retail environment and processes, brand management/relationship building, project management, and packaging development innovation.

Primary Responsibilities –

  • Build the integration plan with Loblaw’s (2020 launch and beyond) across all aspects (overall business proposition, supply chain and logistics, IT, Assortment including Loblaw’s own label, Legal contracts. Etc..). Secure resources within Loblaw’s to enable project launch and advancement
  • Manage day to day relationships with our strategic partners: Loblaw’s Canada as well as all Canadian brand partners.
  • Communicate and formally present project updates and requirements to key internal stakeholders and accounts
  • Lead the multifunctional team towards the launch of the Loop platform in Canada via deepening our partnership with Loblaw’s and enabling Brand partners to develop durable packaging
  • Support the business with general project management

Requirements/Skills –

  • Have a master’s degree in marketing, business management or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a Retail environment and/or big CPG company as business manager/ brand manager or key account manager.
  • Experience is sales or client facing function is a mandatory and background in packaging development a plus
  • Stellar business building results (business growth as main measure)
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment with changing priorities
  • A problem solver, capable of thinking outside the box
  • Fluent in English. French is a plus
  • Ability and willingness to travel from time to time within Canada and the US (up to 40%)

Compensation

  • Salary depending on experience
