Position: Landscape Construction/Maintenance Workers
Organization: Nature's Way Landscaping
Location: Gananoque, (30 minutes East of Kingston) Ontario

Now in our 28th year, Nature’s Way has been providing complete turn-key solutions to our clients landscaping needs. We are currently looking for individuals who are productive and passionate about horticulture and take pride in providing a complete service to our clients. We are looking to add to our current workforce and are requiring full time seasonal workers starting April 2021 – we are a Certified Living Wage employer and offer a starting wage at $17.50 - $22.00 per hour plus, depending on experience, we pay overtime after 50 hours per week, we also offer an end of season bonus. Duties for this position include but are not limited to:

• Construction of Retaining Wall Systems, Interlocking, Planting, Ponds & Water Features, Rain Gardens & Fusion Landscaping.
• Demonstrates best practices and current industry standards in relation to jobs performed, including but not limited to: garden cultivation and weeding, sodding, perennial, shrub, tree, annual and bulb planting, hedge trimming and selective pruning, spring and fall property clean ups, soil work and over seeding, etc.
• Operation, maintenance and transport of various landscaping equipment: stone saws, chain saws, lawn & garden equipment, jumping jack’s, tampers drills and various hand tools - Most of our maintenance equipment are battery powered
• Occasional pickup and delivery of soft and hardscape materials
• Complete required paperwork
• Promote safety, wear appropriate personal protective equipment and demonstrate hazard awareness
• Be prepared to start work on time and to work extended hours as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous residential landscaping experience is an asset,
• Post-secondary horticultural education or equivalent experience is a definite asset
• A valid G Driver’s Licence with clean driver’s abstract
• Excellent plant care and identification knowledge would be a definite advantage
• Knowledge of all aspects of residential landscape construction including hardscape installation
• First Aid and WHMIS would be an asset.

Preference will be given to applicants possessing industry certifications CHT, CLP, CIT, NCMA, ICPI, Horticultural Diplomas, Horticultural Apprenticeship.
