The Backyard Urban Farm Company (BUFCO) is an award winning, family-run, organic vegetable landscaping company that designs, installs, plants and maintains edible gardens for residential and commercial clients throughout Toronto. Our mission is to inspire, educate, and empower urbanites to grow their own food and help them reconnect with nature.
We are looking for inspired, skilled, committed and self-motivated nature-lovers to join us on our quest to make the world a better place, one beautiful vegetable garden at a time. If our mission excites you, and you are driven to provide excellence in every endeavor, then BUFCO is the home for you.
Your primary responsibilities as a BUFCO Labourer include, but are not limited to, working in the field under the direction of the Landscape Lead Hand in the assembly and installation of BUFCO designed raised garden beds, helping to establish in-ground gardens, fence, patio (interlocking, pavers, and natural stone), and working on other landscaping projects. Under the guidance of the Lead Hand, you will maintain and organize the installation truck, assist with tool maintenance and supplies inventory, and help to keep BUFCO facilities tidy, organized, accessible, safe, and in good working order.
