Position: Production Associate
Organization: Boho Bake Shop / Boho Bars
Location: London, Ontario

Boho Bake Shop is a health food bakery in London, ON. Our company’s mission is to influence a shift away from processed foods and back towards eating real, whole food again. We think the best way to do this is to make healthy food taste great.

We are looking to add a Production Associate to our growing team. Main responsibilities include producing large quantities of energy bars in an efficient and productive manner. You will be producing different flavours of the same product every day.

As a relatively new and expanding company, we are looking for a candidate who is adaptable and excited to be a part of a small, growing company. The successful candidate must be a dedicated and hard-working team player, who is eager to pitch in and help out their fellow team members when needed.

This is a part-time position. Hours/shifts will vary, but the successful candidate must be available for work at least 3 shifts per week from 8:00am - 4:00pm, with flexibility to work later when needed.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Production line work
  • Production of energy bars by hand
  • Accurate measuring of dry & wet ingredients
  • Use of equipment such as mixers & ovens
  • Use of chef’s knives for chopping / cutting
  • Ensuring the quality and consistency of all products
  • Cleaning and sanitizing workspace and washing dishes
  • Maintaining inventory of products and ingredients
  • Preparing packaging
  • Other duties as needed

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A passion for healthy living and local food security
  • Team player and can work autonomously
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to lift a 50 lb pails of ingredients
  • Strong work ethic and ability to produce products quickly and efficiently
  • Flexibility to work more shifts as needed and to work later than scheduled shift as needed
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Able to learn quickly and motivated to take on new tasks
  • A current Food Handler’s Certificate is not required, but is an asset
