Position: Administrative & Project Coordinator

Overview: The Evergreen Administrative & Project Coordinator will be responsible for project coordination and administrative duties, supporting land-based programs (parks, green spaces), as well as special projects when needed.


  • Project coordination for assigned projects, including invoicing, task tracking and project plan updates, etc.
  • Support team with program-related administrative duties including record-keeping, expense reporting, note-taking, scheduling appointments and booking meetings, etc.
  • Act as program support on assigned Evergreen events
  • Liaise with the events team to organize special events/workshops/meetings
  • Act as primary point of contact for internal and external project stakeholders, including volunteers, as necessary, for project coordination
  • Track direct costs associated with project budgets
  • To work as part of an integrated and collaborative program team
  • Supervision of interns and volunteer leaders as required
  • Support managing director and project managers as required

  • Communication. Speak, listen and write in a clear, confident, respectful, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques.
  • Customer-focus. Anticipate, understand, and respond to the needs of internal and external customers to meet or exceed their expectations and receive positive feedback from internal and external customers.
  • Planning/Organization/Project Management. Determine strategies to move the organization forward, set goals and focus on priorities, create/implement action plans/budgets, document, evaluate, learn.


Reporting Relationships:

  • Supervised by: Managing Director


  • Post-secondary education (or equivalent professional experience)
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong track record in coordinating community based programs and events
  • Leadership skills, highly organized, creative and self-motivated
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Proven commitment to environmental sustainability and education
  • Able to work occasional weekends and week day evenings

Working conditions:

  • Regular office hours (generally 9a.m. – 5p.m., weekdays)
  • Requires some evening/weekend work
  • Includes working with vulnerable sectors

Terms of contract: Full time; 40 hours/week
