Position: Director of Client Solutions

Summary:

Reporting to the SVP of Sales and Marketing, the Director of Client Solutions is responsible for owning and leading the program design and proposal development processes for all opportunities at Summerhill. This shall be accomplished by collaborating and coordinating participation with all business units within Summerhill including marketing, regional operations directors, program management, finance and call centre services as well as other sales team members as needed. In this role you will also have inside sales responsibilities for assigned opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design process for program solutions, including program modeling and pro forma development when required.
  • Lead the strategy, coordination, research and writing of high quality and timely RFP responses and sole sourced opportunity proposals.
  • Execute and recommend improvements to Summerhill’s established solution and proposal development processes.
  • Develop, and continuously review to improve, proposal templates and boiler plate content to increase efficiency in the proposal writing process as well as the competitiveness of submissions.
  • Identify, liaise with and coordinate internal stakeholders participation in the proposal development process including marketing, regional operations directors, program management, finance and call centre services as well as other sales team members as needed, to collect all relevant research, materials and methodology to strengthen proposal submissions.
  • Follow all internal policies necessary for proposal submission including budgets, contracts and program design risk assessment.
  • Evaluate RFPs identified for response that are relevant and aligned with Summerhill’s Annual Business Plan.
  • Work with Sales to ensure Summerhill’s CRM system is accurate and up to date with all known opportunities.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in a technical or engineering field
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • 5 years program design consulting background in the energy efficiency industry
  • Program modeling and design experience
  • Exceptional proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Ability to meet very tight deadlines while keeping other initiatives on track
  • Ability to manage direct reports, as well as colleagues and peers when required for proposal development

Salary

  • Base salary commensurate with experience
  • Commission paid on assigned opportunities that are won
