Position: Program Manager, Centre for Civic Innovation
Organization: Code for Canada
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Take the lead role in launching a new hub, dedicated to addressing civic challenges, fostering cross-sectoral collaboration, and showcasing successes in civic tech and civic innovation.
Code for Canada is looking for an exceptional person to launch and lead a new program that enables collaboration across government, nonprofits, companies and startups. As Program Manager of the Centre for Civic Innovation (CCI), you’ll work with our partners -- the City of Toronto and the Centre for Social Innovation -- to introduce members and the public to civic tech and civic innovation.
The Centre for Civic Innovation (CCI) will be a home for Toronto's civic tech community, bringing together government practitioners, civic tech innovators, and engaged residents to identify, create, test and deploy effective solutions to civic challenges, large and small. CCI aims to:
try solutions to government challenges in a safe environment before wide deployment,
foster a culture of collaboration among the multiple stakeholders in order to encourage innovative thinking and problem-solving,
provide space, training, programming and additional supports to all those engaged in civic innovation, and
ensure that challenge identification and solution creation are undertaken with input from a range of voices that reflect the diversity of our communities.
As Program Manager, you’ll “own” the program from design to implementation to evaluation, but you won’t be alone. You’ll be part of a supportive and committed team that is already plugged into an international network of organizations working towards similar goals.
