Title of Position: RBC Future Launch Youth Internship (18-29 years old)

Frontier College is a national, non-profit literacy organization that was founded in 1899. We work with children, teens, adults and families who need help to improve their literacy skills. We work with a variety of partner organizations to deliver volunteer-run, community-based programs across Canada. Frontier College is accredited under the Imagine Canada Standards program.
Frontier College Books sells adult education resources online. We offer a wide variety of materials covering many subject areas and a range of skill levels. As a social enterprise of Frontier College, all FCB profits help to support free literacy programming across Canada. FCB also runs a work placement program providing valuable employment experience to youth from Frontier College’s Beat the Street program.
In 2017, RBC provided funding to support internships at Frontier College as part of the bank’s Future Launch initiative, developed as a result of two years of conversations with youth across the country. Over 10 years, RBC Future Launch will invest in areas that help young people learn skills, experience jobs, share knowledge and build resilience.
This is an exciting time in the bookstore as we rebrand and prepare to launch a new website. We are also updating our inventory management both online and on the shelves.
We are currently seeking an Intern to help with inventory management as well as updating our new website. The successful candidate will receive valuable hands-on experience, training and mentorship, and professional development in a friendly and positive environment.
This position reports to the Bookstore Coordinator based in Toronto
