As one of Canada’s largest not for profit leaders in wildlife conservation, research, and advocacy, we are seeking to fill the new position as part of our new and exciting program;

Position: Administrative Assistant

Position Overview:

The Administrative Assistant will provide support to the Program Manager, Youth Leadership Specialists and Acting Director of Education. This position will be based in Kanata, ON.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English & French – written & oral
  • Business Diploma or relevant experience
  • 2-3 years experience
  • Proficient use of various office based software including Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures involving procurement, travel arrangements, budget management, reports, etc.

Specific Work Activities

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly submission of claim to host.
  • Perform basic bookkeeping functions.
  • Maintain project operating budget through spreadsheets.
  • Database Management – program participants, sponsorships, contacts & events.
  • Asist in arranging travel arrangements for participants in the program.
  • Complete and review all expense reports, invoices and other relevant monetary documents for submission to Finance Department.
  • Arrange and order and arrange deliver branded clothing for participants in the program throughout the country.
  • Ensure that program participants have Health & Safety training through CWF and/or sponsor.
  • Government grant reporting experience.

General Activities

  • Other duties, relevant to the position shall be assigned as required.

Term

  • This contract runs until March 31, 2020. Based on 37.5 hours per week.
  • Start date: January 2, 2018
