Evergreen is currently seeking a collaborative innovator and network activator to lead Indigenous partnerships, engagement and outreach in support of a range of programs. The successful candidate has robust networks and strong knowledge of Indigenous communities, organizations, and initiatives across Canada, as well as a proven record of stakeholder management, collaboration and partnership development with Indigenous communities, organizations and leaders.
If you fit this profile, have a passion for program excellence and a commitment to mission impact, this may be the opportunity for you.
Evergreen is a national not-for-profit helping make cities flourish. Cities that are low carbon, inclusive to all and sustainable at their core.
For over 25 years, Evergreen has been making Canadian cities better places to move, work, live, play and grow. We’ve worked from coast to coast with governments, neighbourhood groups, school boards, developers and residents, collaborating to create better communities.
About the Role:
The Lead, Indigenous Engagement & Outreach, plays a critical role as part of a broader partnerships and stakeholder relations team supporting Evergreen’s work. They will enhance and build relationships among Indigenous leaders and community-members, Evergreen and its partners, Municipalities, and the community at large. The Lead will be responsible for the process of building culturally respectful, collaborative and effective relationships in support of the development and rollout of advisory and capacity-building services to Indigenous communities nation-wide, as they explore and implement new approaches to improve the lives of residents through data and connected technology, housing innovation, land-based and cultural placekeeping, and other means.
The Lead represents Evergreen externally, develops new partnerships while strengthening existing ones, and builds Evergreen’s understanding of Indigenous worldviews and community needs. By holding and activating a broad network of partners and collaborators across the country, the Lead also contributes to the advancement of program activities that serve and engage Indigenous communities and practitioners, champion Indigenous inclusion and leadership, and help Evergreen continue its Reconciliation journey.
