Position: Camp & Hiring Manager

Job Summary:

Hard work does not scare you, neither does a chipped nail or scrape on your knee. You love action sports such as skateboarding, BMX, snowboarding, skiing, wake boarding, surfing, scooter and any other adrenaline-based sport.

You've been dreaming about positions revolving around sports. You jump on opportunities when you see them and don't look back.

You will lead and motivate a team of 5-25 people at a time, per event. Your hard work will drive enrollment to our camps and increase our presence in specific markets by 10%.

This is an opportunity to shape the company's future. You will hire and train our camp staff, improve our event marketing strategies and build a strategic roadmap for future events and camp operations on a day to day basis.

If you have a valid drivers licence and a reliable car (SUV/Pickup Truck even better), this incredible opportunity is for you. If you do not have this job is not for you.

Winter Job Focus and Responsibilities

Winter Program Saturday Hours: 8:00AM to 4:00PM

  • Responsible for approximately 30 staff in the ski and snowboard program including hiring, firing, disciplinary decisions, management and training
  • On hill representation for Evolve Camps Snow program; the face of the brand to Louis staff, the public
  • Work with camp director and camp coordinator to interview and hire all seasonal personnel
  • Work with Head of Ski and Head of snowboarding to design and implement innovative lesson programs
  • Share and embrace the vision of Evolve to develop an innovative, fresh, and exciting 5 star experience for our guests and pass holders
  • Coordinate and conduct training sessions for both new and returning instructors, and support them on the slopes throughout the season with the help of head of ski and snowboarding
  • Work with camp Director, camp coordinator and Head Coaches to establish and maintain a positive, constructive, professional and innovative ski and snowboard program environment
  • Provide support to Ski & Snowboard Departments as needed
  • Check in every weekend with staff and fill out google form HERE
  • Make sure all marketing initiatives are executed with marketing team on a weekly basis this includes and not limited to; flags put on both Louie and Moonstone side, muskoka chairs by flags, have flyers handy incase people ask for info, have stickers handy to hand out to people,
  • Create social media content at all levels of the program both videos for stories, photos for stories, feed etc, get creative and develop your own style and flow
  • Scout and award the camper and staff of the week, this means being in tune with campers who are progressing, being excellent community members and same with staff who are showing up on time, working hard, showing they care for others etc
  • Stay on top of head of ski and snowboarding coaches to ensure they are assisting in the progression of coaches, holding them accountable for their work
  • Ensure and remind staff throughout the day to fill out incident reports so Tara can follow up with incidents that require attention to the parents

Spring/Summer Job Focus and Responsibilities


Evolve executes fun, high energy, engaging events for some of the top companies, associations and schools in Canada. We focus on school fun fairs, street festivals like Taste of the Danforth, larger events like the Pan Am Games or the CNE, and also get involved with specific product activations for third party companies.

Duties as Event Coordinator:

As the King or Queen of our events you will wake up energized and stoked to activate and manage one of our events.

Duties as Staff Recruiter:

As the staff recruiter you will source the best of the best staff in skateboarding, scooter, bmx. With our proven system you will also execute training sessions and prepare staff for a successful summer.

Duties as Camps Manager:

When the summer kicks off you will travel between camps to check in on camp managers, staff and any other individuals associated with a specific program. You will lead, manage and hold your staff accountable for a 5 star experience. You will also connect on a weekly basis with our third party partners. Visiting them and checking in to ensure we are meeting and exceeding their expectations.

  • Approachable people person
  • Experience working with and managing staff
  • Experience working in camps
  • Be able to identify issues, discuss them and come up with solutions with support team
  • Tough hands to lift, push, fix and move event material such as ramps, fencing and sound equipment
  • Be easy and fun to work with but be able to be firm and efficiently manage your staff
  • Have a valid drivers licence and car or truck (truck or van preferred)
  • Have a working cell phone with a proper data plan
  • Have experience working at events and with kids in a camp/event setting
  • Communication skills and attitude to sell our camp to prospective parents at our events

Work Environment: A lot of the work you are doing on the weekends involves managing and attending to the needs of staff and campers. There is a large percentage of the day spent in doors, however it is just as important to be present on the hill especially with heads of each department
