Position: Garden Maintenance Lead

We are actively seeking an experienced lead gardener to join our maintenance team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Execute and manage the weekly garden maintenance of private residential gardens in Vancouver
• Lead a crew of 2-3 gardeners on a daily basis and train in proper horticultural practices
• Coordinate work and schedules with maintenance managers and liaise with clients
• Submit daily receipts, project sheets, and time sheets
• Manage truck, equipment, and materials for crew as required
• Prune ornamental shrubs and trees
• Hedge trimming
• Planting

Job Requirements:

• Completion or currently enrolled in a Horticulture program from a recognized post-secondary institution. And/or certification from BCLNA, Red Seal or equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years experience in ornamental garden maintenance
• Hold a valid driver's license with clean driver's abstract
• Have excellent plant id
• Have sound knowledge of proper care for perennials, trees and shrubs
• Skilled in using a variety of power equipment including a hedge trimmer, lawn mower, line trimmer, blower, etc.
• Proficiency in minor irrigation repairs and system programming
• Work hard
