Alberta Climate Change Office, Edmonton. Lead a centre of excellence to inform evidence-based decision making by advancing a performance management system, an integrated legislative framework, and emission forecasting and analysis system to support the effective implementation of the Climate Leadership Plan.
This challenging role offers you the opportunity to shape and enhance how government delivers on Climate Leadership Plan goals and priorities from an environmental, economic and social perspective. You play a key leadership role in coordinating a government-wide legislative road map. Under your strategic direction, your team is focused on the implementation of a robust performance management framework to ensure policy alignment, and development of a credible, integrated greenhouse gas emissions forecasting system. Overseeing agency governance support for Energy Efficiency Alberta and Emissions Reduction Alberta is a key responsibility in your broad portfolio. A proven collaborator, you bring the capacity to foster networks with stakeholders and build alliances across government and other jurisdictions to ensure ACCO delivers on its mandate.
Your career demonstrates significant related senior leadership experience in legislative and policy development approaches, accountability processes and performance measures development. You bring a reputation as a strategist and problem solver, recognized for innovative approaches in leading key initiatives and fostering forward thinking and a culture of continuous improvement as foundations for decision making. Your exceptional capacity for building strong partnerships and stakeholder networks and engaging high performing teams will position you for success in this role. A background in natural resource management and climate change is a considerable asset; a related degree is preferred.
This Executive Manager position offers a salary range of $125,318 - $164,691 ($4,801.47 - $6,310.03 bi-weekly). Final candidates will be required to undergo a security screening. This competition may be used to fill future vacancies. Closing Date: August 4, 2017.
