Hiring: Education and Youth Programs Coordinator

Take Pride Winnipeg! Inc. is looking for an Education and Youth Programs coordinator.

This will be a six-month term, with flexible daytime hours. There is also a potential for permanent hire at the completion of the term.

Take Pride Winnipeg! Inc seeks an excited, engaged individual with an interest in community and environmental issues. A background in education and youth programs is preferred, but we’re willing to work with the right candidate.

You will deliver our signature education programs: “Take Pride, Take Action”, “Take Pride in Reading”, and “Pride in Action in Winnipeg Schools” (PAWS), both in-person and virtually, to Manitoba schools.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute content and design to the curriculum.

In addition, you will hire, supervise and manage Green Team summer staff working on graffiti removal and city beautification projects.

You will also assist with other Take Pride Winnipeg programs and initiatives as required.

Candidates must:

• Be available Monday-Friday during regular business hours, with the occasional weekend/evening assignment (particularly during the summer).
• Have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Have a working knowledge of Office Suite, including Office 365, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc…
• Experience in content creation and video editing software is a bonus.
• English proficiency required, French fluency is a bonus.
• High school completion is required, full or partial post-secondary degree with a focus on education is a bonus.

Compensation begins at $20.00/hour, with further salary and benefits to be discussed upon promotion to a permanent position.
