Sea Smart is a charity that delivers innovative, engaging education programs based on science and current ocean issues to empower youth to be environmental champions in Metro Vancouver. We’re looking for a digital marketing campaign manager who has an entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for giving back to the community, and is keen to help us deliver our programs to Vancouverites and beyond. If you are highly motivated to achieve results, driven to do great work and adaptable to support and lead a variety of initiatives, then this is the role for you.
This individual is detail oriented with first class writing skills and enjoys creating content that helps convert into results. A great candidate for this role is self-motivated and continually researching the best channels and methods to promote digital content. They can also be described as a team player, able to catch whatever we may throw them and run with it effectively with a strong ability to communicate clearly on all tasks and given expectations, particularly in the case of short deadlines. Sea Smart’s Digital Marketing Specialist also has a keen desire to learn about how we can connect kids and families to nature, while elevating this with proven marketing strategies.
Creates and optimizes a variety of SEO and SEM campaigns in order to meet target KPIs that help bring in revenue for our charity, while increasing the popularity of our educational programs
Creates digital marketing content in order to drive and meet campaign objectives and goals
Knowledge and experience in executing and creating plans for owned digital and paid digital media including but not limited to:

Our team of marine biologists and oceanographers are passionate about youth education and environmental sustainability. Sea Smart uses fun, hands-on games and activities to teach youth in Kindergarten to Grade 12 about current issues impacting our oceans and get them brainstorming solutions in our online programs, school programs, after school programs, and summer camps. Created by marine biologist Dr. Elaine Leung, Sea Smart helps youth understand the role they play in making the world a better place…all in a fun, educational program that fulfills the requirements of the new BC Ministry of Education’s curriculum.
