Customer Service Agent

VRTUCAR Carsharing is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual for our Customer Service Agent position, based in our growing Hamilton office. This position requires the individual to be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment, and working with minimal supervision. If you love helping people, solving problems, and working with a small team, this job is for you.

Reporting directly to the Branch Administrator, the Customer Service Agent's role is to respond effectively and professionally to the diverse needs of our clientele. Flexibility and effective multitasking are required to advise, inform and assist our members by phone, email and in person. Administrative and fleet tasks related to operations may be assigned on an as needed basis.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks

Provide high quality customer service by listening, advising, informing and assisting members with their phone and email inquiries, including:

  • Present the services offered to inform members of the best options available
  • Respond to requests for reservations, information, and services
  • Record issues related to the use of vehicles and provide appropriate solutions to the member
  • Assist with processing membership subscriptions by providing the necessary information and documents

Provide administrative support to the service, including:

  • Make notes or intervention requests related to user questions and complaints
  • Review and reconcile the trip data

Qualifications & Experience

  • Secondary School Diploma
  • 6-12 months experience in a customer service or call centre role
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Computer literacy, including ability to learn complex software systems quickly
  • Ontario G class driving license an asset

37.5 hours/week, to be scheduled between the hours of 8am and 6pm

Weekday and weekend shifts will be required



Group benefits available after completion of a 3-month probationary period
