Seeking: Food Production Team Member
Reports to: Production Manager

East end Toronto (Lake Shore Blvd E / Port Lands)

Shifts: Full Time: Monday-Friday 4am-12pm or 6am-2pm


  • $15 per hour

  • Quarterly incentive program

A glimpse at the role:

At the Real Food Kitchen, a team of cooks, bakers, kitchen helpers, packers, porters, and Super Drivers help to prepare, pack, and deliver nutritious and delicious meals to feed thousands of kids in the GTA. As a member of the production team, you’ll help support the production staff, and ensure that their tasks are performed effectively and to the highest possible health and safety standards.

Some of the things you’ll get paid to do:

Food Production

  • Assist with high volume food production

  • Chopping, portioning and packaging food products

  • Organize, weigh, and count food items

  • Maintain food safety standards and comply with work instructions

  • Ensure that items being produced meet our quality standards and bring issues to the attention of the Production Manager / Quality Assurance Coordinator

Clean Work Environment

  • Clean as you go including a full clean down of the work area at the end of each shift

  • Keep coolers and freezer clean and organized

  • Carefully follow health and safety rules

  • Disposal of waste in a proper and organized way

  • Other duties as required

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School

Skills and Personal Attributes:

  • Positive attitude, with a passion to get things done right!

  • Hard-working

  • Punctual with a strong attendance record

  • Works well in a team environment

  • Ability to work on your feet for an 8-hour shift

  • Physically fit (can ensure repetitive lifting of max. 25kg)

  • Attention to cleanliness

  • Ability to read, write and speak English

  • Basic math skills, including: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division


  • Experience working in a busy kitchen or production facility

  • First Aid Training

  • Food Handler’s Certificate
